I’m Not Reading your Political Posts

I’ve been pleasantly surprised that the majority of (personal) blogs I read on a daily basis haven’t had many Presidential candidate endorsement or political-type ramblings. Thank you for not shoving your opinions down my throat…

… because I really could care less who you want to vote for.

I admit to being a closet conservative talk radio junkie - for that, I’m getting my daily fair share of political BS and bitching. I also watch CNN, Fox News and MSNBC during the daytime. But, I can only take so much: I’ve been DVR’ing the television programs I regularly watch so I can fast-forward through the increasing number of political advertisements (thanks to Florida’s primary coming on Tuesday).

… and I’m skiping/not reading anyone’s political/Presidential candidate posts. Sorry.

I do have some opinions, but nothing of much substance at this point. I don’t pay enough attention to any one candidate (on either side) to pass judgment or choose who I like. I’ve had the occasional person ask me who I’m supporting and my answer hasn’t changed - “I don’t know“.

A recent exception to my aversion to reading political opinions came from the blog Ordinary Art. I appreciated reading Kelly’s post about Roe v. Wade - I wanted to write in my own blog just to say “Yeah, what she said…” Although her post has nothing to do with Presidential candidates, it does touch on a very important political (societal?) topic that seems to always come up in Presidential debates and elections.

Other than my usual options about health care and adoption reform, I’ve got nothing new in the political spectrum to write about, and certainly nothing Presidential candidate-related to say. Bottom line for me: I’m not choosing sides or forming opinions until we’re down to two actual presidential candidates.
