Just some lovely ugly lyrics that’ve been floating around in my head for the last week or so. Even though the song sounds like a less-than-desirable choice of music, it has one of those tunes that kinda gets stuck on ‘repeat’ in one’s head.

Abstract:
This Article explores the question of whether intercountry adoption is an effective, appropriate, or ethical response to poverty in developing nations. As a matter of methodology, this fundamental question of adoption ethics is explored through the lens of international human rights law. This Article specifically argues that, where the birth parents live under or near the international poverty standard of $1 per day, family preservation assistance must be provided or offered as a condition precedent for accepting a relinquishment that would make the child eligible for intercountry adoption.

Once a year I go through my son’s room and do a complete overhaul. I/we get rid of toys, books and clothing that are no longer age-appropriate and organize everything from top to bottom.
This weekend there’s more than one reason* that I’m going to be cleaning The Kidlet’s room: whenever stressed, I take it out on my house(work) in the form of cleaning. Stress-cleaning can’t be that bad, can it?

I’ve had an iPhone since the original 8 GB models were introduced last fall. Recently, I upgraded to the new iPhone 3G, mainly to add the additional storage of the 16 GB model, but also because I dig the GPS feature.
