My Wordless Wednesday Birthday Gift

The Kidlet was excited to give me his little gift this morning. More than anything else, he was proud of the care he took wrapping it.  He spent at least 5 solid minutes describing the method he used to cut and wrap the paper and use the scissors to curl the ribbon.

I think it’s the most beautifully wrapped gift I’ve ever gotten - because it’s from him.

The Kidlet made today, my 32nd birthday, happy.

… and then I smile, too

This is exactly the reason why I love giving stuff away, as gifts, contests and at random intervals… for holidays, birthdays and regular “plain ‘ol nothing special” days.

No, my reason to gift others isn’t to earn kudos or expect credit to be given on blogs, but to know I made someone smile (and then I smile, too…)

Giving is selfish and selfless tied up together, isn’t it?
